I took my oldest assistant out a couple of weeks ago to photograph her and the wonderful beige-ness of winter here in Kansas. I make an effort to get yearly shots near my children’s birthdays so we can see how they have grown over the course of the year.
A quick stop to the local mega mart garnered some beautiful fuchsia pink flowers. It was windier than usual for Wichita but my sturdy assistant braved the winds and the light chill.

We hunted high and low for a plain pink head band but couldn’t find it so Hello Kitty had to come along too!
